New Members: December 2008 Update!

2008-12-15, by Ben
So the year's slowly coming to an end, and all the folks at InlineDJ.com have been pretty busy, either behind the scenes, or working on secret side projects, or others living their very fancy, very glamorous VIP superstar lives! And so, it’s been a while since out last update. Too long in fact! Since we last posted, 2 new DJs have been added to our roster: Difer & Ben Pageau!

Hailing from the almighty USA, Difer is a very versatile DJ, not afraid to play anything ranging from electro house to progressive and trance! Of Latin American descent, Difer has rhythm in the blood and knows how to move a crowd! If you’re too far to walk/drive/fly/sail to one of his live gigs, you can catch him on MD Radio, a show he hosts alongside upcoming DJ/producer Michael Badal.

MD Radio is a 3 hour radio show that features a great combination of classic and new electronic dance music. It airs every 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of each month on Sense.FM with a casual guest mix. Almost two years in the air, MD Radio has reached up to 1000 live listeners and has the some of the best two special events, Winter and Summer Bash with DJs like Hatiras, JES, 4 Strings, Kyau & Albert, etc.. Check his profile for more info! More info on Difer can be found on his profile by clicking here! The upcoming MD Radio Winter Bash will feature 24 hours of trance and progressive with some of the best world DJs. 12 hours of trance on the trance channel on Sense.FM channel and 12 hours of progressive on the prog channel on Sense.FM.

Secondly, Ben Pageau’s profile is also now online! Nothing noteworthy to say about him, other than he’s the future best DJ in the time-space continuum!!! Ok, maybe in 50-60 years! (Haha!). You can go check my profile here or catch my radio show, Mosaic on Sense.fm every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Mosaic’s aim is to get listeners to discover, or rediscover, new artists/styles/songs. So check it out for yourselves! Replays of the last 5 episodes are also available on my profile!!

Inline DJ Dynamics in 2009

2008-12-10, by mx
This would count as my first official post on Inline DJ website's News section even if I've written quite a few lines of code over the years to help this site running. Why now?

Good question, and the simple answer would be something like ... because it's all about dynamics! As a DJ, producer, listener or any hybrid mix of those three, who do you currently listen to? Who influences you? How do you discover new artists? Why go to this specific party? Why are there only 89 files (compared with the stunning total of 3,645,094 freely usable media files) in the "Electronic music artist" category on the http://commons.wikimedia.org site? Again it's all about dynamics.

As the year 2008 is closing in, we are preparing to give the site a breath of fresh air and ideas for 2009 so stay tuned!
